EPT Deauville Day 2: Martins Adeniya concludes as chipleader
After the Day 1, the French stage in Deauville on the European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 8 is ongoing. The 178 players who qualified for Day 3 met at the Centre International de Deauville to identify players who will continue the adventure. The Moroccan Toufik Ouirini started the day as chipleader but in the end, it is Martins Adeniya who terminate in the top of the table with over 512,000 chips. The Englishman is in the best position to continue the rest of the main event by accumulating a stack of half million chips while his first pursuers, Artem Litvinok and Ludovic Lacay have respectively 397,000 and 377,000 chips.
Behind the three leading players, we found in the top 10 of the chip counts Julian Ehrhardt (363,000), Christian Togsurd (321,000), Christopher Brammer (321,000), Paul "Poloker06" Guichard (320,000), Pierre Barthelemy (306,000), Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes (304,000) and Marc Inizan (295,000). Bruno Lopes was as reminder recently crowned at the EFOP for his victory at the Diamond Championship. But to come back in this EPT, 128 players will have their tickets for the paid places and can expect to receive at least 7,500. The 200 survivors of the day will meet on Friday, Feb. 3 for the Day 3. But in the other hand, the day was not a success for everyone. Indeed, many poker players have been eliminated like Vanessa Rousso, Fernando Brito, Jose Barbero, Kevin Macphee, Matthias De Meulder, Leonard Truche, Kara Scott, Marcin Horecki, Praz Bansi, Bruno Launais, Steven Moreau, and many others.
