World Series of Poker 2012: No November Nine for the 43rd edition
The program of the 43rd World Series of Poker (WSOP), the edition 2012, which will take place from May 27 to July 16 is finally known. This new edition has undergone significant changes especially in its main event. Indeed, it is now confirmed that the final shifted in the month of November is canceled. Thus, the main event of the WSOP 2012 with the final will be held from July 7 to 16. The structure of the event and the buy-in will remain the same, but, the organizers decided that there will be no day off. During this tournament, 480 additional tables will be installed in the poker room, allowing organizers to welcome 1,000 more participants.
The WSOP 2012 will distribute a total of 61 bracelets and as already mentioned in recent months, a charity tournament for a million dollars buy-in will be held as part of the event. This is the Event # 55, the Big One for Drop One which field will be limited to 48 participants. Note that a part of the prizepool will be allocated to the One Drop Foundation to support its charitable activities. New tournaments are also scheduled during the 43rd edition of the WSOP as the Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha of $ 3,000 buy-in that will host 512 participants, the Mix-Max No-Limit Hold'em of $ 5,000, the $ 2,500 Four-handed No-Limit Hold'em and the Ante Only No-Limit Hold'em of $ 1,500 entry fee.
