CAPT: A very busy season 2012
Poker became popular with the various poker tournaments held in major European cities as well as through online poker. Some countries are not yet included in the round of major tournaments like the WSOP, the WPT or the EPT, but are still known by well-organized tournament with a crowd that has nothing to envy with the other tournaments on the international circuit. In Austria, Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) is the ultimate tournament that is played in various casinos in the country. This year, the CAPT 2011 took place from March 25 to September 11 in six different institutions that are the Grand Casino Baden, Bregenz, Graz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Velden. The Casinos Austria Poker Tour will be back in 2012 to the delight of Austrian and international poker players in January 20 at Seefeld Casino. 500 players are expected with a prize pool of more than 800,000.
All CAPT tournaments last a week and are played with a No Limit Texas Hold'em with a buy-in of 2,000 for the Main Event. Participants will after that meet from February 19 to 26 in Bregenz followed by the CAPT Salzburg from April 10 to 15, 2012. The rest of the program is composed of CAPT Innsbruck, CAPT Velden planned respectively from May 13 to 20 and July 14 to 22, 2012. To close the season 2012, the organizers give us an appointment from October 25 until November 3 at Baden Casino for the European Poker Championships. As a reminder, last November, it was the Hungarian Zoltan Szabo, who won the title after a head's up with the Austrian Stefan Raab.
