WSOPC Caesars Palace: Jeff Fielder as chipleader
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) stopped at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last Friday. The Main Event of $ 1,600 buy-in of the event was attended by a total field of 662 players with 308 participants who enrolled in the first qualifying day and 354 on Day 1B. This event was the meeting point of famous poker players. Some of them failed to qualify for the day 2. But, Gavin Smith, Frank Kassel, Scott Clements, Jeff Madsen, Kathy Liebert, Jamie Gold, Eli Elezra, Bryan Devonshire, Steve Billirakis, William Reynolds, Allan Carter and Dan O'Brien managed to be part of the second day of competition's field. Note that the two Day 1 were each composed of 15 levels of play and if 58 players were able to qualify for Day 2 during the Day 1A, they were 76 to have joined the list of survivors at the end of Day 1B.
It is also important to mention that the eliminated players from Day 1A could retry their luck on Day 1B. The field for the second day of competition which started on Sunday at 6:00 a.m, was 134 participants with Jeff Fielder is the role of chip leader. Indeed, holder of 437,500 chips, he is the player in the best position for the rest of the championship. The Day 1A chipleader, Joe Kuether and Jonas Mackoff are also well positioned.
