European Poker Awards 2012: The contenders for the titles announced
The award ceremony for the best players and poker actors in Europe will be held on January 25, 2012 at the Aviation Club de France (ACF), at the same time as the European Finals of Poker. This is the European Poker Awards. Already, organizers of the ceremony unveiled the names of those who qualified for the awards to be distributed. Among the players who marked the year 2011 and who deserve to win a trophy thanks to their performances are Jake Cody who was able to climb the ranks of the holders of Triple Crown, the world champion of poker 2011 Pius Heinz, the champion of the Super High Roller at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Eugene Katchalov, Andrey Pateychuk who won a World Poker Tour title and an European Poker Tour title in 2011, the star of High Roller tournaments Sam Trickett and the French number 1 Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.
The qualified for the title of best performance in tournament are Jake Cody, Pius Heinz, Fabrice Soulier, Benny Splinder and Sam Trickett. The title of Newcomer of the Year is disputed by Adrian Allain, Pius Heinz, Sam Holden, Oleskii Kovalchuk and Andrey Pateychuk. As for the title of best player of the year, Liv Boeree, Victoria Coren, Nesrine Kourdourli, Barbara Martinez, Natalia Nikitina and Cecilia Pescaglini are among the qualified. For the title of poker Employee of the year, the jury will choose between Nicola Fraioli, Warren Lush, Edgar Stuchly, Kirsty Thompson and Simon Trumper. The Rob Gardner Award for the personnality of the Year will be awarded to Barny Boatman, Neil Channing, Bertrand Grospellier, Tony Guoga or Jesse May. Among the professionals of online poker, Jude Ainsworth, Victor Blom, Rui Cao, Chris Moorman and Ilari Sahamies are qualified for the title of Internet Player of the year. And finally, the EPT London, the International Poker Open of Dublin, the final of the Partouche Poker Tour, the WPT Grand Prix de Paris and the WSOPE Cannes are among the qualified as the best European tournament of the year.
