Aussie millions 2012: Launching of the event
The tenth edition of the festival of poker in Australia, Aussie Millions, begins this Thursday, January 12, 2012. As usual, the followers of this poker circuit has a rendezvous in the luxurious Crown Casino of Melbourne. To mark the 10th anniversary of the tournament, the organizers prepared an exceptional program. So for this edition 2012, 26 events will be in the program and they will have a guaranteed prize pool of $ 20 million. Those who decide to join Australia to participate in the Aussie Millions will therefore play poker Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 8-Game Mix and the various variants of poler like HORSE.
Among the events expected to attract the best poker players is the $ 10,000 main event that will be held from January 22 to 29. The event brought together 721 players last year and the trophy was awarded to David Gorr who pocketed the prize of AUD $ 2 million. This year, organizers hope to attract even more participants. There is also the AUD $ 100,000 Challenge to be held on January 22 and 23. The winner of this high level competition will go back home with a very big prize. Note that Sam Trickett, the champion, pocketed AUD $ 1,525,000. Finally, the Super High Roller of $ 250,000 buy-in is also one of the highlights of the Aussie Millions. This No Limit Hold'em tournament will be scheduled for January 27, 2012. It is supposed to bring together the most successful players of the moment.
