Christmas bingo become for some years now a custom for various organizations and associations in France. In the township of Aulnoye-Aymeries, located in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the association "Mots et Merveilles" organized a bingo game at the end of last week. Indeed, during the afternoon of Friday, December 17, the Christmas bingo of Mots et Merveilles was held in a classroom at the La Fontaine school of Aulnoye-Aymeries. The event was organized specifically for people having problem to read. The objective of this bingo was to allow these people to experience the pleasure of the game but also to learn and help them to fight against illiteracy. The objective of this event was to help these people to work their ability to read numbers. Despite this form of learning, the atmosphere was very nice and the competition was at its highest level as the some forty people in the room have been working hard to hope to win prizes at stake in the bingo bonuses.
Always in this spirit of learning for young people, a lottery was organized by the Association of Parents of the High School Saint François de Mauléon (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) for the benefit of educational activities for their children. Despite the bad weather, many people went there to try to win one of the prizes. Bingo game lovers in the region were in the room while others played from home through Internet. Josée Annie won the home theater while the bike was for Christiane Laffore, the oven for Madeleine Lucu and ham for Ms. Samalbide.
