Barrière Poker Tour: The first stage of the new season in Cassis
The Season 5 of the Barrière Poker Tour (BPT) will begin this December with the first step that will take place on December 17 and 18, 2011. The town of Cassis will inaugurate the French tour of the BPT for a buy-in of 1,500 and a guaranteed prize pool of 120,000. French poker enthusiasts will gather so this weekend in this Mediterranean city to win the title having the form of packages of the WSOP Europe. Like for the rest of the tour, this Mediterranean step will be played on levels of 45 minutes with starting stack of 30,000 chips. The five best places in the tournament will be awarded packages for the Main Event of the WSOP Europe of the edition 2012 with a unit value of 12,000. The remaining paid places will share 60,000.
The number of packages will be increased to reward 5% of the participants if the field gather more than 93 players. Judging by this measure, 15% of the field will be paid. Alongside this main event of 1,350 + 150 entry, the Side Events will be held throughout the weekend : the Deepstack of 550 for the afternoon of Sunday. The rest of the program of the Barrière Poker Tour 2012 will consist of one stage in Bordeaux (March 9 to 11), Ribeauvillé (March 30 to April 1), Nice (May 4 to 6), Toulouse (June 8 to 10), Enghien-les-Bains (July 20 to 22), Trouville (August 10 to 12) and Lille (September 7 to 9).
