France Poker Series: Tadini shines in Mazagan
The kickoff of the Season 2 of the France Poker Series (FPS) was marked by the victory of Anas Tadini over a field of 305 participants. The City of Mazagan, Morocco hosted from last December 1 to 4 the first step of the Season 2 in the sublime Mazagan Beach Resort where players from diverse background come to play the title of the 1,200 buy-in Main Event. The France Poker Series Sunfest Mazagan brought together all the biggest names of French poker like Arnaud Mattern, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Roger Hairabedian, Clement Thumy and also Marc Inizan. The champion of the World Series of Poker 2010, Jonathan Duhamel, also answered positively to this French event held outside the country. After four days of very fierce competition, eight players finally qualified for the final day with the supremacy of Anas Tadini who finished the day with 1,450,000 chips.
Early in the tournament, the player from Nice, in the Riviera Coast, already placed himself in the ranking as the best FPS title contender by finishing as chipleader of the Day 2 among the 48 survivors. As for Elky, he failed to win a place for the Day 3 like Nazim Guillaud, Mikael Oestreicher, Jean-Paul Pasqualini, Roger Hairabedian... At the final table, therefore, Anas Tadini maintained his lead and won the 80,463 of earnings expected for the winner. Behind the French, we find Daniel Högström ( 51,854), Richard Amsellem ( 33,245), Jeremiah Sarda ( 24,139), Otto Richard ( 17,057), Alain Dery ( 13,411), Jonathan Godou ( 9,834) and Sebastian Winkler ( 6,705).
