Fundraising: Charolles in France and Doncaster, England held their bingo
For years, bingo is a game that allows villagers and friends to gather around balls and full bingo cards. Bingo is a popular event appreciated by fans because of its rewards but it's also a very good initiative for those who want to give something for someone who need it. This is the case of bingo organized by the association of home care in Charolles, held in the township hall of Vendenesse-lès-Charolles, Bourgogne region, France. Compared to previous events, this new edition has seen a slight drop in participation but still gather more than 200 people. Cedric Nebout of Joncy won of a computer, Joëlle Jolivet of Chauffailles received a TV, Lucien Mousset of Charolles received the Blu-ray player and Blaizet of Beaudemont took home a digital camera.
In Great Britain, bingo fans will meet in Doncaster during the fund-raising event held this Friday, November 18. During this event, local organizers hope to raise £ 33,000 for roof repairs of Parish Church of All Saints. With the bingo game scheduled on Friday, organizers plan to raise extra money to add to the £ 9,000 already collected. Other fund-raising events will also take place to repair the church roof as the car wash to be held on Saturday, November 19 at the fire station in Misterton and an evening of song concert with Sally Hartley.
