Master Classics of Poker 2011: The local player David Boyaciyan won the title
The 21st edition of the famous European tournament Master Classics of Poker that was held in the poker room of Holland Casino Amsterdam had just ended. Opened for a buy-in of 5,250, the event brought together 294 players composed of many professionals of poker. But at the end of the competition, the trophy went back in the hands of a local player named David Boyaciyan. Note that the final table of the Master Classics of Poker 2011 was composed of players of different nationalities, all came to win the title. The four Americans who were among the favorites for the final, including Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Keven Stammen, Joe Ebanks and David Peters, finished respectively 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th. The Canadian Jody Bertozzi was in the 9th place and Makarios Avramidis Columbia ranks 8th.
David Boyaciyan managed to win against these talented players. During the final heads-up, he faced the final table chipleader, the Finn Jussi Nevanlinna. And he managed to emerge victorious in this duel. The third place was won by the Swedish Victor Wessman. With his victory, David Boyaciyan pocketed 382,200, while the runner up won 227,850. Note that many top players participated in this prestigious tournament and some of them such as the champion of the European Poker Tour Tallinn Ronnie Kaiser, Barny Boatman, Brandon Cantu, Brian Smith and Anton Wigg were able to access in the paid places.
