The Big One For Drop: Elky and Dumahel will participate
The Big One For Drop is a poker tournament organized to the benefit of the Foundation One For Drop. It is an association which works to supply drinking water for the poorest people in the world. This great charity tournament, which will be a High Stakes event planned to gather 48 participants, will be held at the same time as the World Series of Poker 2012 (WSOP). Already, 22 players composed by the biggest names in poker and famous businessmen announced their participation in the tournament. It will include Doyle Brunson, Tony G, Johnny Chan, Bobby Baldwin, Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Patrik Antonius and Tom Dwan. But recently, the world champion of poker Jonathan Duhamel and the French number one, Bertrand Elky Grospellier also confirmed their presence at this tournament of one million dollar buy-in. Moreover, Duhamel announced that he will remit 5% of his earnings to the association One For Drop.
The father of the event Guy Laliberté but also Andy Beal and Phil Ruffin are among the wealthy men who will contribute to this charity poker. If The Big One For Drop achieved its goal to bring together 48 participants, the organizers will provide to the association $ 5 million. So far, players gathered $ 2,444,442 for the foundation. Note that the tournament will be broadcast on the American entertainment channel ESPN. In addition to the big share of the prize pool, the winner will be entitled to a WSOP bracelet in platinum.
