Sky Poker Tour: Mariusz Srok winner of the first stage
The 4th season of the tournament Sky Poker Tour (SPT) started as promised and the first stage held in the poker room of Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club has already delivered its results. In fact, 200 players were registered for the main event of £ 220 buy-in of the first stage of this SPT and at the end of the competition, the victory went to Mariusz Srok. It's his first victory in a live tournament and he qualified in a satellite tournament of £ 5. So it must be said that luck accompanied him during this adventure. Note that some top players were in the field to name Grimsby's Ben Nuttall, a regular of the circuit and the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour tournament, Julian Thew, the winner of the Grand Final, James Williams and Basharat Mahmood who won last month the trophy in a No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack tournament of £ 150 and finished as runner up in the SKP first step.
As champion of the event, Srok was entitled to a prize of 12,675 and is the top spot of the SPT circuit. The third place was awarded to Paul Green, while Shaun King, Ben Nuttall and Richard Horton finished 4th, 5th and 6th. There are still six steps prior to the grand final to be held from September 8 to 9, 2012 at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham. The next meeting will be held on December 10 in Newcastle, the third at G Casino Luton on January 28 to 29, 2012, the fourth in Glasgow on March 10, 2012, the fifth in Cardiff on April 28, 2012 and the last stage in Blackpool on June 23 to 24, 2012.
