EPT San Remo: Domination of McClung during the Day 4
On Tuesday, October 25, the fourth day of the European Poker Tour San Remo began with the 64 survivors from Day 3. After seven hours of play, many players have been ejected from the table and there were only 24 contenders for the EPT title. One of these 24 semi-finalists will then go with the bracelet and the prize of 800,000 allocated for the winner. The Canadian Chris McClung is the chipleader at the entrance of Day 5 with a stack over 3 million chips (3,148,000) while the average is 1,046,000. This semi-final promises to be a day full of surprise and will see a great show as behind the Canadian, top players have been also qualified and can make a splash at the final table. The surprise of the fourth day's main event is the elimination of the November Nine Joseph Cheong, despite an impressive stack at the beginning of the game.
Of the 24 potential players who can beat McClung, we find in the second position Daniel Neilson (2,011,000) followed by the finalist of the PPT Mustapha Kanita (1.761 million), Alessio Isaia (1,524,000) and the winner of the European Poker Tour Berlin 2010 Kevin MacPhee (1,441,000). Other players like Barny Boatman (1,257,000), Johnny Lodden (1,227,000), Jan Bendik (1,211,000), Andrey Pateychuk (1.2 million), Dimitar Danchev (1,196,000) and of course the new champion of the Main Event of the WSOP Europe 2011 Elio Fox are also to follow during the Day 5 of the tournament. At the end of the fifth day, eight players will be selected for the final table scheduled for Thursday, October 27.
