WSOPE: Elio Fox won the 1,400,000 prize of the Main event
After 6 days of competition in the poker room of the Hotel Majestic Barrière in Cannes as part of the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe 2011(WSOPE), Elio Fox triumphed and won the famous prize of 1,400,000 and a WSOP bracelet. It's the biggest gain ever given in a poker tournament held on the French territory. Note that this 25-year-old American from New York, was the chipleader of the final table of eight players during which Fox faced formidable opponents such as Shawn Buchanan who finished 6th in the race for the big trophy and the holder of triple crown Jake Cody who finished 7th.
After having completed a good course during the final day of the WSOPE 2011, Max Silver was the first to join the bench of eliminated. Jake Cody, Shawn Buchanan, Dermot Blain, Brian Roberts and Morits Kranitch successively followed his footsteps. The happy champion started a duel with the British pro Chris Moorman. It took him only 20 hands to eliminate Moorman, a failure followed by a disappointment of this latter despite the fact that the British left with a gain of 800,000, especially as Moorman has already missed the title of the World Champion 2011. However, it must be said that he just made a huge achievement. Note that the 64 best players during this Main event were all paid.
