WSOPE PLO Event 3: Sam Trickett took the lead at the entrance of Day 3
The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) are currently in mid-term with the Event 3, which began on Monday, October 10 at the Barrière casino of Cannes Croisette. The Pot Limit Omaha event with a buy-in of 5,300 brought together a field of 180 players. All specialists of PLO were present at this meeting but since the day one, many participants were eliminated one by one: Erik Seidel, Tony G, John Racener, Fabrice Soulier, Davidi Kitai, Patrick Antonius, Juha Helppi, Antony Lellouche, Ludovic Lacay, Sorel Mizzi, Jonathan Duhamel, Sami Kelopuro... Of the 180 players registered on Day 1, only 49 players were qualified for Day 2 with Shannon Shorr (166,400 chips) followed by Michele Di Lauro (159,100) and Jerome Bradpiece (128,500) who completed the podium. Among the survivors of Day 1, there are : Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier, Jason Mercier, Sam Trickett, Eugene Katchalov, Phil Hellmuth, David Benyamine, Jeff Lisandro, Roger Hairabedian, Elie Payan
At the beginning of Day 2, Shannon Shorr held the chip lead but at the end of the day, Sam Trickett, who won the last British Poker Award, took over the top spot for the start of the last day. Of the 9 players qualified for the final, we found alongside Sam Trickett : Eoghan O'Dea, Samuel Chartier, Ramzi Jelassi, Steve Billirakis, Konstantin Uspenskiy, Erich Kollmann, Jerome Bradpiece, Michele Di Lauro. The Day 3 of the Event 3 Pot Limit Omaha promises to be a very competitive day as it will be a race for another WSOP bracelet.
