DeepStack Open Malta: Nicolai Kostakiss crowned champion
The poker tournament Open DeepStack Malta ended with the victory of Nicolai Kostakiss. This fourth stage of the edition 2011 brought together 343 participants. Note that the event offers to those who love playing deepstack poker the opportunity to participate in a quality tournament open with a modest buy-in of 550. Players joined then the casino Portomaso to compete for the title of the tournament and a horde of French players made the trip to join the starting field. But ultimately, the victory was awarded to the Danish player Nicolai Kostakiss who managed to oust Benoit Legal in the final duel. Daniel Dankelmann, Nadege Thomas and Steven Van Zadelhoff were respectively the 3rd, 4th and 5th in the ranking. Note that cash game tournaments were held during the DSO Malta to the delight of eliminated players during the main event.
After the success of previous steps like that of Costa Brava, Cannes, Marrakesh and Malta, the DSO 2011 will also stop in Vienna from November 3 to 6. The tournament will take place in the poker room of the majestic Montesino Casino. As in other stages, players will participate in a 550 buy-in Main Event but there will be also two side events open respectively for 300 and 150 to be held on Saturday and Sunday. After Vienna, the tournament will again pass in Marrakesh for the DSO Marrakesh Winter from December 15 to 18 which is also the final stage of the edition 2011.
