EMOP Barcelona: Won by Andreas Hagen
The penultimate stage of the European Masters of Poker (EMOP) was held in Spain at the Gran Casino of Barcelona. Nearly 460 players joined the Catalan city to compete for the title but at the end, it was the Norwegian Andreas Hagen who won it and poket also the gain of 90,310. Hagen triumphed face to Robin Appell who pocketed a gain of 70,310. This new victory in the EMOP Season III enables Andreas Hagen to bring his tournament winnings to $ 441,929. He already pocketed $ 94,218 in 2007 after his second place during the EPT Prague. Andreas Hagen has been the best of this Spanish tournament followed by his runner-up Robin Appell ( 70,310), Daniel Marin ( 40,040), Mats Lundkvist ( 24,570), Johan Berg ( 19,570), Aleksi Hentunen ( 15,020 ), Roland Rozel ( 13,200), Tobias Stenberg ( 11,380) and Paula Sanchez ( 9,560).
Thanks to this victory, the Norwegian is ranked as one of the greatest champions of the European Masters of Poker Season III alongside Soren Larsen, Abdul Atila Seiar, Jukka Koskela and Stefan Hansen. The next and final stage of the European Masters of Poker will be held in Riga, Latvia. This event is scheduled for next November 17 to 20 at Royal Casino Spa & Resort Hotel. The main event of this stage will be opened for a buy-in of 1,500 + 150.
