Grand Series of Poker: In Porto Carras from October 11 to 15
After a very successful step at Old Trafford stadium on August 2 to 7, 2011, the Grand Series of Poker Tournament (GSOP) will stop at Porto Carras, Greece. This city located in northern Greece is a tourist destination as it has a popular seaside resort. And it's in this city that the Porto Carras Grand Resort Casino, the host institution of the tournament is located. During this GSOP Greece, poker enthusiasts will have the opportunity to participate in various tournaments available at a moderate buy-in. The entry fee for the main event is limited at 1,500 + 150 and will start from October 11 at 2:00 p.m. A super satellite qualifier for the Day 1A of the leading tournament will be proposed, open for 55 buy-in and will take place in the poker room on October 10 at 7:00 p.m. During the day of October 11, the GSOP Live Welcome Party and two Super Satellites of 110 buy-in each allowing players to earn a spot for Day 1B of the main event will be in the program.
About the structure of the tournament, the competitors for the main event are entitled to 20,000 starting chips that will evolve at every level of play and will last about 60 minutes. On October 13, a side event of 110 will be held from 5:00 p.m. Another side event tournament will be also held on October 14 from 6:00 p.m. The final table is scheduled to be held on October 15 at 2:00 p.m. So the public will know who will succeed to Jes Kerpe, the champion of the first step. And the event that will close the GSOP Greece will be the Leaderbord of 220. Note that the champion will walk away with the grand prize and a place in the final to be held in April 2012 in the Dominican Republic.
