IFP World Championship of Poker: From November 17 to 20 in London

Following a partnership between the French Federation of Poker Players (FFJP) and the International Federation of Poker (IFP) which greatly contributed to the recognition of poker as a sport of relaxation at the international level, a new poker tournament will be held from November 17 to 20 in London. This is the IFP World Championship of Poker. The tournament will consist of two major events including the Nations Cup and the Freezeout tournament. About the Nations Cup, the Duplicate Poker format which stipulates that each player on the gaming tables will be entitled to the same hole cards will be adopted. This regulation was chosen in order to make the game more professional because competitors will deploy key strategies in order to win the trophy. The Nations Cup will confront, for its part, 12 teams from different countries made up of six players each.

As for the tournament Freezeout "The table", the field will be limited to 130 participants who will be all well known players who received an invitation from the organizers. This is a televised tournament with a prize pool of $ 500,000 to be distributed to the nine top players and the biggest share, $ 250,000 will be awarded to the champion. This tournament is open to all poker enthusiasts next year. Note that this first edition of the IFP World Championship of Poker will be held in London in the poker room of the Mind Sports Festival.
