Epic Poker League: Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer excluded
The Epic Poker League definitely focused on its ethics for a good progress of the tournament and for the integrity of players. The Standards and Conduct Committee has just suspended two more players who are Chris "Jesus" Ferguson and Howard "The Professor" Lederer following a vote. Indeed, the two poker players were banned from the tournament until further notice due to stories of fraud. Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson are involved in the fraud case accusing the online poker room Full Tilt Poker. Both are in fact the leaders of this company which has been accused by Preet Bharara, attorney in Manhattan. The ethics committee didn't hesitated during the tournament to eject them until the Department of Justice rule on the result of its investigation about the Full Tilt Poker case said the President of Standards and Conduct Committee, Stephen Martin.
Decidedly, the ethics committee of the Epic Poker League is more and more strict about the the behavior and the background of players before letting them join the tables of tournaments. The Standards and Conduct Committee has just analysed the case David "Chino" Rheem a few weeks ago and now, two other players were banned from the tournament in addition to the exclusion of Divita. The regulation of the Ethics Committee do any exception, Howard Lederer is none other than the brother of Annie Duke, Commissioner of the Epic Poker League. Howard Lederer is also a great poker player (multiple win in the WPT and owner of many WSOP bracelets) in addition to his status as leader of Full Tilt Poker.
