Global Poker Index: Erik Seidel takes the first place
After having been of in the first place in the standings All Time Money List with $ 16 million gain, the American Erik Seidel also managed to win the first place in the Global Poker Index (GPI) of the week. It must be said that the player fully deserved the nomination because he has made very good achievements in recent times to name his 4 th place in the Epic Poker League. However, Eric Seidel has enough trouble to keep his title because there are only 0.07 points between him and Jason Mercier. And Eugene Katchalov who ranks third is also a potential candidate for this first position because he is at 100 points below the title holder.
The two French players Bertrand Grospellier and Fabrice Soulier who are respectively ranked in the 4th and 6th place are also on the way to climb to the top spot, but there's also the Canadian Sorel Mizzi who has just received his trophy as champion of the High Roller of the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris (WPT) in the poker room of the Aviation Club de France. Note that he was at the 5th place in the rankings of this week. Thomas Marchese, Scott Seiver, Daniel Negreanu and John Juanda also appear in the top 10 and are ranked 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th. But as usual, many players have made tremendous progress and improved their ranking. We can for example mention Freddy Deeb who won 54 seats and was able to integrate the top 100 or Hugo Lemaire placed at the 64 th place while holding the 129 th place a week ago. The results of players at the Partouche Poker Tour Cannes and the WPT Borgata could bring new change to this new classification.
