Manny Pacquiao World Poker Event: A new poker event on December 7 to 12
Thanks to a close collaboration with the world champion of boxing Manny Pacquiao, the organizers of the Asian Poker Tour circuit (APT) will held a special poker event borrowing the name of this legendary sportsman : the Manny Pacquia World Poker event. After the signing of the contract, which took place last week, the event became an officially APT accredited to be held in the same way as a conventional APT tournament. Note that Dapidran Emmanuel Pacquiao, known as Manny Pacquiao, won 10 times the title of world champion in boxing in his category. He is a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines and a great passionate of poker. An alliance with such a celebrity will therefore enhance the image of the APT circuit.
The Manny Pacquiao World Poker event is expected to attract a large field consisting of several poker professionals. According to the tournament director Lloyd Fontillas, a very professional organization like the boxer will be developed during this special APT. The event will be held from December 7 to 12, 2011 in the poker room of Pan Pacific Hotel's Asia Poker Sports Club of Malate. And during the 12 days of competition, a wonderful program will be offered to participants. Thus, there will be a High Roller tournament of PHP 500,000 buy-in, a pot-limit Omaha of PHP 11,000 and a main event accessible to PHP 50,000. Qualifying satellite tournaments will be organized for those who can not pay the buy-in proposed for the main event.
