Darren Woods: Accused of a scam in online poker
A new scandal is going to be unveiled in the world of online poker. Indeed, the British professional player, Darren Woods, is accused of many online poker players of having committed a scam on gaming tables. According to the charges that appear on the famous forum 2 +2, the player benefited the help of a friend in order to accumulate a great advantage in a tournament with a colossal prize, a $ 500 / $ 1,000 cash game held in a famous online poker room. This new case will blacken further the poker industry, which however knew a great boom. Indeed, the case of the Portuguese player Jose Macedo already damaged the reputation of online poker. As a reminder, Jose Macedo was involved in a multi-accounting cheating or chip dumping.
And about Darren Woods, his misadventure in this poker room also could harm his reputation as a professional player. Yet this British had just prove to the poker community his talent by winning the World Championship title in No Limit Hold'em 6-Max of $ 2,500 buy-in during the World Series of Poker 2011(WSOP). The complaint of players who witnessed the cheating was sent to the head of site security. For now, no confirmation has been unveiled and the accused hasn't yet issued any comment.
