UKIPT Dublin: Jason Tompkins plays for the title
The eighth stage of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour Season 2 (UKIPT) started effectively on September 8, in Dublin. The first day of the Main Event was attended by 433 participants bringing the prize pool to 348,230. After two days of competition, the UKIPT Dublin had only 205 players with the champion of last year, Max Silver as chipleader. At the end of Day 2, Max Silver tried to keep his place face to the 204 survivors, as he ended these first days with a chip count of 195,600. The top 5 of these first two days is completed by Kevin Williams, David Maudlin, Stuart Samuels and Jason Tompkins.
On Day 3, 56 players joined the table for a level of 60 minutes. After eight hours of poker game, eight players were qualified for the final which took place last Monday, September 12. The chipleaders of the previous days were eliminated one by one and only Max Silver remained after a terrible day on Day 3. Jason Tompkins finished the day as chip leader with 2,388,000 chips and leaving far behind the chipleader of Day 2 and the defending champion Max Silver. The eight finalists of this stage of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour are Jason Tompkins, Noel O'Brien, Joeri Zandvliet, Robert CSIR, Charles Fabian, David Doherty, Rory Curtis and Max Silver.
