WPT Paris: Mikko Sundell as best player of the Main Event Day 1A
The new edition of the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris (WPT) began this Monday, September 5 with the presence of Royal Flush Girls and many famous poker players such as the lovely Kara Scott, Remy Biechel, Ludovic Lacay, Olivier Busquet, Pedro Canalli, Per Linde, Vikash Dhorasso, Marvin Rettenmaier, Hugo Lemaire, Lucien Cohen, Michel Abecassis, Fabian Quoss, Patrick Bruel, Mike Sexton, Roberto Romanello, Juha Hellpi and many others. The first day, Day 1A, brought together a field of 140 participants with a buy-in of 7,500 and 30,000 chips. After a round of 60 minutes each, only 70 players remained at the end of this event and the day registered also the elimination of Sam El Sayed, Patrick Bruel, Almira Skripchenko, Tristan Clémençon, Roger Hairabedian Basil Yaiche ...
The chip leader of this first day was the Finland's Mikko Sundell with 203,800 chips. He is just before the French Yann Dion (201,000) and Jean Noel Thorel (186,000). The Norwegian Jani Sointula is fourth in the chip count with 135,400. The German Marvin Rettenmaier is closing the top 5 with 104,600 chips. The other French players of the tournament who managed to pass the previous round are also in the Top 10 as Alexandre Brivot (6th, 103,800 chips), Ludovic Lacay (8th, 97,400 chips), and Christophe Benzimra (9th, 89,600 chips). The 70 players who passed the Day 1A will meet the qualified players of Tuesday, September 6 (Day 1B) and they'll fight a place for the televised final table scheduled for Saturday, September 10.
