WSOP Main Event final 2011: Only two months to wait
While it is still the beginning of the month of September with the World Poker Tour that has just begun, the attention of poker enthusiasts around the world also looks to the final of the World Series of Poker 2011 to be held in Las Vegas in November, specifically on November 5 to 7. The World Series of Poker 2011 registered at the beginning of tournament 6,865 participants and only nine of them will share the final table. This 42nd edition of the WSOP will gather the outgoing nine qualified players for the Main Event of last July: the November Nine. Among these nine players will be the WSOP 2011 champion who will have the privilege to be crowned and will receive the prestigious WSOP bracelet and a whopping sum of $ 8,711,956 with the title of successor to Jonathan Duhamel, the defending champion of the edition 2010.
The final table of the largest poker tournament in the world will meet in early November 9 players of different nationalities including three Americans, one Czech, one Irish, one German, one Ukrainian, one English and one Belizean. The nine seats at the final table will be respectively held by Matt Gianetti (USA 24,750,000 chips), Badih Bounahra (Belize, 19,700,000), Eoghan O'Dea (Ireland 33,925,000), Phil Collins (United States, 23,875,000), Anton Makievskyi (Ukraine, 13,825,000), Samuel Holden (England, 12,375,000), Pius Heinz (Germany, 16,425,000), Ben Lamb (USA, 20,875,000) and Martin Staszko (Czech Republic, 40,175,000). Ben Lamb is the new favorite of the grand final judging by his career of this season: PLO $ 10,000World Champion, "Player of the Year" of the WSOP 2011, etc.
