EPT Barcelona: Eugene Katchalov in a good position for a victory
At the end of a long day of confrontation on the Day 3 of the European Poker Tour Barcelona (EPT), 24 players among the 141 competitors at the beginning of the day were able to qualify for the Day 4. It was the local player Tomeu Gomilla who was ranked in the place of chip leader with 2,547,000 chips in hand. His compatriot Raul Mestre follows him closely with 2.363 million chips. Both are on the way to defend the honor of their country. The native of Israel, Saar Wilf finished the day in the third place. Before his way to the place of honor, Gomila was further unraveled in a tough battle. But he managed to resist.
But nothing is settled yet because the Spanish will still have to fight with top players like Eugene Katchalov, placed at the 6th position. He is on his way to another EPT victory. We can also mention the presence of Matthias Meulder at the 7th position or Massimiliano Martinez, in the 4 th position. Several professional players have been eliminated and some were able to enter the money list as Filippo Cando, Victor Ramdim, Toni Petterson, Andre Akkari, Alex Kravchenko, Leo Margets or the two French poker stars Vanessa Selbst and Guillaume Darcourt. The final day will be decisive because after that Day 4, the finalists will beknown. Note that the final table will take place on Thursday and the winner will walk away with a reward of 850,000.
