Jeff Conine Celebrity Poker Classic: Poker for a good cause
In the United States, poker is in the spotlight with the various poker tournaments taking place this week. In Miami, Florida State, this weekend will be an important appointment for poker enthusiasts because they'll meet at the "Jeff Conine Celebrity Poker Classic" which, as its name suggests, is an event that will include many celebrities. This event is based on the theme of baseball, that's the reason why professional players from the Florida Marlins will be present there. The Jeff Conine Celebrity Poker Classic will be held this weekend at Calder Race Course & Casino and is intended to raise funds for the Conine Clubhouse of the children's hospital Joe DiMaggio. During this weekend, amateur and poker players will have the chance to share the 20 tables of Calder Casino with celebrities guest and players from the Marlins for a poker game.
The top three players in the competition will receive prizes which are respectively the "Men's Gold Watch" worth $ 5,000 dollars, a 5-night stay at Punta Gabriela (Costa Rica) and an experience at the Florida Marlins, that will let the winner to launch the first pitch at the Marlins game, to attend the training and game in the private suite of the team's owner. And the other players won't be forgotten so far. Indeed, the players ranked in the Top 10 will receive for their part cash prize as well as baseball helmets autographed by the Marlins. To participate in this unique event, each player must however make a donation of $ 250.
