Poker Night and Quad-City Times: A night of poker for the benefit of education
Poker is a great way that can help raise money, a windfall that associations and charitable organizations, especially in the United States did not fail to note. To this end, Poker Night rallied to the cause of Quad-City Times in its program on the education of children in Quad-City region. On Friday 19 August, Poker Night and the newspapers QCT will hold a Texas Hold'em tournament at the Golden Leaf Banquet and Convention Center. At this event, all poker players, amateurs or professionals will be invited to participate in a charitable poker tournament for only a buy-in of $ 30 and $ 20 re-buy.
This new event called "Night of Texas Hold 'Em" aims to the support charitable acts of Quad-City Times in February, because another tournament for the "Kennedy's Kisses" has been already organized. This latter is an organization that also works in Quad-City region. It offers financial aid to families who lost a child. According to the newspaper Education Quad-City Times, Quad-City region has 125 schools with 25,000 students in all. Currently, classes have access to the electronic version of Times to strengthen their curricula, to develop students' creativity and open a new vision on the world around them. During this evening, the tournament winner will choose between a 3-day stay with airfare and hotel in St. Petersburg Beach or Las Vegas.
