World Poker Tour 2012: Ireland as the new destination of the circuit
Poker tournaments know no borders. Indeed, the organizers are still trying to discover new destinations to make the course of the circuit more interesting. Thus, for the World Poker Tour (WPT) for example, the initiators of the competition had just chosen a new city on the Old Continent to house a new step that is part of the season 11 which will run from the New Year 2012. Therefore, after the European cities of Barcelona, Portorose, Paris, Portomaso, Amnéville and Prague, there will be soon an Irish step of the WPT to be played in the capital, Dublin.
Moreover, this season 11 of the circuit will be inaugurated by the tournament in Dublin for five days from January 4 to 8 of the new year. For their reunion in the Irish soil, poker players will have a New Year gift because the entry fee of this first event of the WPT 2012 will be set at an amount of 2,500. For information, Eoghan O'Dea, a player native of the country, finalist of the WSOP 2011 Main Event and Andy Black, the most famous player on the side of the Celtic nation will be present at this meeting. In fact, Ireland has a very long and successful history with this card game. Yet, this country has never hosted major world-class circuits. But the island, one of the first to organize international tournaments in Europe, had the opportunity to receive at home the European Poker Tour, in Dublin in 2007.
