Sky Poker Tour: Jamie Hurst shines in Les Croupiers casino of Cardiff
Last weekend, the final of the fifth stage of the Sky Poker Tour was held at the casino Les Croupiers of Cardiff. Note that the event brought together 160 competitors made up of a horde of renowned players as the champion of Dusk Till Dawn of Monte Carlo, Julian Thew, or Tony Kendall. The journalist and poker commentator James Hartigan was also present. But finally, the competition ended with a victory by Jamie Hurst, a young amateur of the game from Yorkshire. It is the second participation of Hurst in live tournaments. But despite his lack of experience, he managed to meet the challenge and won the first place on the podium of the poker room.
Indeed, when there were only three players on the table, Hurst was already in the place of chipleader. After the elimination of Carl Taylor in the third place, following a deal that allowed him to pocket a bonus of £ 4,000, Hurst began a hectic battle against Daniel Royle. And at the end of the confrontation, it was Hurst who was crowned winner. For his magnificent performance, he pocketed the prize of £ 3,300 and won a place in the Grand Final to be held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham on September 11. This great event has a guaranteed prize of £ 40,000 and the entry fee is limited to £ 220. Those who want to earn a place can already participate in online qualifying tournaments.
