WPO 2011: Meeting in Dublin from September 22 to 25
The second edition of the Winamax Poker Open (WPO) is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 25. And as usual, the event will be held at Ballsbridge Inn, Dublin. Note that the first edition of the WPO was a huge success with a field of 313 participants creating thus a prize pool of 156,500 and the largest share of 40,142 was won by Alan Trueick, the champion 2010. This year, the number of participants can be more important as the poker room of Ballsbridge Inn can now accommodate up to 720 competitors. In addition, new events that will make the festival more interesting and attractive were designed. In the program of the WPO 2011, there will be the main event of 500 buy-in. The tournament will be spread over 4 days during which competitors will play poker short handed. There will be two Day 1 and the unlucky of Day 1A can retry their luck on Day 1B.
What also distinguishes this tournament from others is that the unfortunate bubble boy of the main event will not leave empty-handed. He will win a ticket for the WPO 2012. And players who were eliminated early on the two Day 1 will be qualified for the Side Event of 300 to be held on Saturday, Sept. 24. There will be also special bonuses such as Kill The pros live, the Bad Beat Jackpot or the Good Beat Jackpot. Note that a satellite tournament with 60 rebuy and an ad-on offering 15 free seats for the main event will be held on Sept. 21. The event that will close this WPO 2010 will be the 300 side event buy-in.
