WSOP 2011: Kick off of the main event on Thursday
It remains only 29 competitors at the start of Event # 55 final day of the World Series of Poker 2011 (WSOP), which is none other than the Poker Player's Championship of $ 50,000. Note that this event was attended by several stars of poker and now, the American player Josh Arieh holder of two WSOP bracelets and a member of the November Nine 2004 throne in place of chipleader. He is followed by the champion of the Event # 15 Brian Rast at the second position and the runner-up in of the Event # 13 George Lind at the third place. And numerous poker elite are also in the field of survivors like Gus Hansen, Phil Hellmuth, Barry Greenstein, or Jeffrey Lisandro. As for French players, Alex Luneau and Sébastien Sabic are also still part of the adventure.
But the highlight of this 42 th edition of the WSOP 2011 is the $ 10,000 Main Event which will begin on Thursday in the Rio poker room. If there were a field of around 7,000 participants recorded during the last three major WSOP tournaments, the turnout at this edition 2011 is estimated to reach this figure. The event will run for 12 days and the organizers scheduled four Day 1 and two Day 2. Competitors will have a pause on Wednesday, July 13. The final day during which the nine finalists of the WSOP 2011 will be known is scheduled for July 19. And as usual, the best players who will return for the final will meet in November in Rio poker room. And in the French side, players as Bertrand "ElkY", Antony Lellouche, Fabrice Soulier, Roger Hairabedian, Ludovic Lacay and many other big names known in France will try to defend the honor of their country.
