WSOP: Amateur and professional players shone all during the edition 2011

The World Series of Poker 2011 (WSOP) have begun one month ago. This 2011 version was a huge success if we consider the influx of participants in the various tournaments offered. As in previous editions, the public of the Rio poker rooms has seen amateur players climbing to victory. But many poker stars also shone and had access to the podium like the case of the French number 1, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier who just get his famous "Triple Crown". Apart from this prestigious title, he recently participated in a new final table. Poker Brat also accumulated very well results even though he hasn't yet win his 12th bracelet. So far, he has already grazed twice to victory and he confirms once again his status as a player with the most WSOP bracelet.

World Poker Tour champions did also very good tournaments during theses World Championship 2011 version. We enjoyed the exploits of Andy Frankeberger who not only won a gold bracelet but also counted another final table. Sam Stein and Mike Sexton haven't also failed to demonstrate their skills by entering the charts in their participation at the final table of a WSOP event. After his many victories in major tournaments in the circuit including the North American Poker Tour and the European Poker Tour, Jason Mercier was able to win his second WSOP title. As for Tom Dwan, he managed to qualify for the final table of the HORSE tournament of $ 10,000.
