Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria: Victory of Idan Greenberg
The third stage of the Eureka Poker Tour circuit had just ended and the results of this step was quite satisfactory as the event was able to gather a field of 308 competitors in its main event of 800 buy-in. Indeed, after the first two editions held in Prague and Slovenia, the Eureka Poker Tour took place in Bulgaria since June 22. And the Israeli player Idan Greenberg was elected champion of the event. By being in the place of chip leader at the start of the second day of competition during which they were only 35 survivors, Greenberg, having a big advantage put forth his talent to play poker. He managed to eliminate the Serbia Milan Rakic on the final head's up. Greenberg reached then the top spot of the podium of the Golden Sands resort Varna and pocketed a gain of 55,145.
The two representatives of Bulgaria, Georgi Harasimov and Christian Penchev who qualified for the final table was not enough strong to keep this title inside their country because they were respectively classified in the 4th and 8th place. The German Erol Erfurt won the third place and as the runner up of the tournament, he cashed a bonus of 34,900. The three Romanian Stefan Ciuca, Popescu Gabriel Petrica and Radu Pitic occupied respectively the 8th, 6th and 7th place. Besides the main event, several very interesting side events were scheduled during the third stage of the Eureka Poker Tour. And a new stage is scheduled to take place from August 24 to 27 in Croatia.
