Jamie Gold: A new financial problem to face
Jamie Gold won the status of poker legend during his unprecedented triumph at the World Series of Poker 2006 (WSOP). Indeed, by being at his first participation in a major tournament, he won the title of world champion of poker and pocketed the biggest gain of all time, $ 12 million thanks to his talent to play poker. He is gifted because of his aggressive play. After his exploits in the poker room of the Rio, Jamie Gold almost didn't get a great success in poker tournaments, but he shined as a producer of TV series and agent of stars. He assisted for example Felicity Hoffman and Lucy Liu. This poker star of 42 years is now in the center of a financial problem. Indeed, he should pay a fairly substantial amount of money, around $ 52,279.47 to the owner of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
The case has been brought in front of the court, in New Jersey and the casino has been successful. But since Jamie Gold lives in Los Angeles, the Borgata casino should go to court in California in order to obtain compensation. As a reminder, this is not the first confuses faced by this great icon of poker as he has already been sued by Crispin Leyser. He promised the victim to pay him the half of his earnings, that's to say $ 6 million. As he didn't honor his commitment, he received a terrible penalty which is the freezing of his profits in poker.
