Full Tilt Pokers operating licence suspended by the AGCC
Full Tilt Poker have lost their Alderney Gambling license. The news follows the announcement in April that both Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars had been closed down in the USA following an FBI investigation. Established in May 2000, the AGCC (Alderney Gambling Control Commission) regulates eGambling on behalf of the States of Alderney. The mission of the commission is to maintain the integrity and ensure fairness of online gambling business in Alderney. The Full Tilt Poker website has seen its licence suspended by the AGCC commission. The website is required to suspend all operations from within the jurisdiction immediately. The AGCC said in a statement this morning: The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney Generals Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation.
Already accused few weeks ago by Phil Ivey (an american professional poker player) of Stealing Poker Players Deposits, Full Tilt Poker is now in trouble again. The AGCC has restricted Full Tilt Poker from doing any of the following: - Register new customers - Accept deposits from existing customers - Allow existing customers to withdraw funds that are held in their accounts - Permit customers to participate in any form of poker game play or gambling transaction A hearing is scheduled to take place on Tuesday July 26th in London.
