French online gambling: A debate about the first year of market opening
Will 4 hours be enough to make the retrospective of the first year of market opening of online gambling and online poker in France ? In anyway, a big applause for the Groupement des Éditeurs de Services en Ligne (Group of Publishers of Online Services) for its initiative in organizing the second edition of the debate on online gambling. This symposium, that will mainly talk about economic, technical and legal market opening will be held on the morning of Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the Espace de Conférence Trocadéro, in Paris.
During this second meeting on online gambling, poker, sports betting and turf is allowed on the net until here, the various stakeholders will have the opportunity to exchange views about the government amendment. Then, three round tables are planned in the program. The first discussion theme will be "the market of online gambling, a year after the opening in France, the view of gambling operators." The second debate will focus on "the player inside the market opening?". It will be headed personally by Senator François Trucy. Finally, the last point to be discussed by participants in this seminar will talk around "The challenges of governance of online gambling." Each of these events will have specific stakeholder or sub-topics. As an introduction to the symposium, Benjamin Jacob of PDGB will make a brief presentation on a the theme entitled "The Law of May 12, 2010, a year after."
