UKIPT: Victory of the Scottish Richard Sinclair during the Newcastle step
For the first time in the history, a Scottish player won the victory in the tournament United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT). Indeed, the Scot Richard Sinclair was the best player among the large field of 554 participants during the $ 500 buy-in main event of the UKIPT Newcastle. The champion began the final day as chip leader and until the end of the competition, he struggled to keep his advantage and climb to the top spot. He has just demonstrated to the public of the poker room of the Aspers Casino his talent to play poker. Richard Sinclair fully dominated the final day of the UKIPT Newcastle and ousted his opponent with brilliance at the end heads'up, Brit Raj Verma. Sinclair won then the first prize of £ 67,000.
Rakesh Gupta Paul grabbed the third place, Barry Foley finished 4th, Tim Slater 5th, Jonathan Gawith 6th, Tadhg Ryan 7th and James Morris 8th. Note that after this passage in England, the champion will head towards Las Vegas to attend the World Series of Poker 2011 (WSOP). He's a formidable competitor because he already won two cashes at the main event of this tournament. The next meeting of fans of the tour will be held in Brighton from July 10 to 14. And already, poker fans who want to qualify for the main event of this poker meeting can participate in the qualifying satellite tournaments.
