Israel: A bill allowing casino implementation to develop tourism
Israeli Tourism Minister, Stas Misezhnikov just did his report on the results of this sector in front of the Hebrew Parliament for the year 2010. This recent communication in front of the committee in charge of this domain was once again an opportunity for member of the Netanyahu government to re-launch his idea to allow legal casino operations in Israel. The Jewish state, like many other countries, defends formally the existence of gambling on its territory, however, such an initiative could also make possible the holding of poker tournaments in this country.
In front of the members of the board of the Israeli Parliament, the Minister Misezhnikov developed his plan for a casino, that can also accommodate poker within the country. For him, the right location for the building would be located either near the port of Eilat or in one side of one of towns in southern Israel. As some members are reluctant to take the plunge, the first chief executive of the Hebrew tourism department had to convince them by highlighting the shortfall caused by the refusal. Indeed, Israel has much to receive in the legalization of such institution, including the great benefits that the casino will bring to all the tourist infrastructure of the location, particularly in terms of creating jobs. In the same vein, the Israeli authorities is currently studying the possibility for their players to bet on horse racing. For the particular case of poker and Texas Hold'em, it's until now illegal because it's also considered as gambling.
