EPT Champion of Champions: 43 of the 70 invited players already accepted
As it was announced recently, a new event called the "Champion of Champions" will mark the finale of the Season 7 of the European Poker Tour (EPT). Thus, this event dedicated to invited payers only, the former winners of the EPT, will loop the 7th edition of the European circuit. The big fight between the 70 players, who will honor this final appointment, will be played on May 13 at the Casino Gran Madrid just after the main event of the EPT Grand Final in the Spanish capital. At the time of Monday, April 25, 2011, 43 of the 70 invited players confirmed their presence at this freeroll poker tournament.
Among the past winners of the European Poker Tour, who responded positively to the invitation for this last stage of this European tournament for this season, there are, among others Jason Mercier, Mike McDonald, Liv Boeree, Roland de Wolfe, Carter Phillips, Pascal Perrault, Jan Boubli, Arnaud Mattern, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Christophe Benzimra. But, the winner of the European Poker Tour Deauville 2011, Lucien Cohen, Noah Boeken, Patrik Antonius, Gavin Griffin or Sebastian Ruthenberg, haven't yet responded to the invitations sent to them. For this freeroll tournament "Champion of Champions", the first four players will win tickets to the eighth edition of the EPT. Thus, the champion will have a passport of 50,000, the second a package of 25,000, the a package of 15,000 while the fourth player will win a pass to 10,000.
