EPT: Only a few days before the stage of Berlin from April 5 to 10
The second edition of the European Poker Tour Berlin (EPT) will be held from April 5 to 10, 2011 in the poker room of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. After the unfortunate incident that somewhat blackened the reputation of the German capital as host city of the EPT, the event will be back there and it's sure that the organizers have taken the precaution to avoid the recurrence of such disaster. As reminder, the EPT Berlin 2010 was a real success in terms of participation as 945 players were registered and a total prize pool of 3.5 million has been collected. During this 2011 edition, Kevin McPhee will have to defend his title but other players like Mark Inizan also expect a better performance because last year, he were qualified at the 3rd place of the tournament.
But the EPT Berlin is also a great opportunity for poker players to discover the richness and beauty of the Germanic capital. In addition, the city has several high quality hotels that can host participants. Indeed, apart from the Grand Hyatt Hotel, which offers a rate of 385 per night and the Ritz Carlton which hotel room is available for 195 per night, other kind of lodging such as road house like Etap Hotel is available for 46 per night and inns are also willing to accommodate competitors. And to top it all, many small restaurants that serve delicious dishes are located near the competition venue like the Eckrestaurant, the Facil and Larenz Adlon. The EPT 2011 Berlin promises to be an exceptional event, as participants can play poker on quality tables and a pleasant stay in the heart of a historic town. Note that this is the penultimate stop on the circuit because after the EPT San Remo, fans of the tournament will gather in Madrid for the Grand Final of 10,000 buy-in.
