WSOP Circuit: Seneca Easely as champion of Rincon step
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) stopped in southern California during last weekend. This new stage took place in the poker room Harrah's Rincon and a field of 188 participants was recorded during the main event of $ 1,600. Many great players like Dwite Pylgrim, Phil Hellmuth, Kyle Bowker, Adam Levy, Jerry Yang and Sam Chauhan were present but none of them managed to reach the final table of the event. Having started the final as chip leader, Seneca Easely won this step despite the presence of the World Poker Tour champion Michael Simon and the star of Rincon Alex Masek in the list of finalists. For this brilliant victory, Easely won a prize of $ 70,384, a place in the $ 1 million tournament and the precious ring of the WSOP-C. Alex Masek, Michael Simon, Lori Nunes, Hayden Fortini, Patrick Karschamroon, Narinder Khasria and Shaun Walker ranked respectively from 9th to second place.
After the completion of this final table, the game continued at Rincon. Thus, the WSOP-C Rincon Regional Championship took over and started on Sunday. For this first day of competition, the event attracted only 90 participants. Given the number of very attractive poker tournament organized in every corner of the world as the Wynn Classic or the European Poker Tour Snowfest 2011, it is quite normal to see a decline in attendance at this championship. However, this Day 1A was full of actions because top players like Erik Seidel, Phil Hellmuth, Carlos Mortensen, Tim West, Sam Stein, Adam Levy, Michael Benvenuti, Jerry Yang and Carter King were at this tournament. At the end of the day, Seidel, Benvenuti, Kathy Liebert and Joseph Cheong have already been eliminated but the other stars present in the field will be back in the second day with Tim West and Mortensen in the top 10; Ali Eslami as leader.
