GUKPT London: A double for Praz Bansi
By finishing first among the 253 players who participated at the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour London (GUKPT) and ousting Manig Loeser during the final heads'up, Praz Bansi has just confirmed once again that he is a very good poker player. With this new victory, Bansi achieved a historic double, he was indeed the champion of the GUKPT Bolton 2007. Besides that, he also holds two titles of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). At the meeting in London, Bansi faced however many great players but, with some techniques specific to him, the star of the Hit Squad reached the victory and pocketed for that feat a superb gain of £ 101,020. The Hit Squad is a group of five poker pro in London who made great achievements in various poker tournaments.
This 32 years old player who triumphed in his city started the final table consisting of Gary Lindsay, Chris Kyriacou, Manig Loeser, another member of the Hit Squad, Karl Mahrenholz, Jim Dunsfield, Ken Wong, Jamie Roberts and Jeff Kimber as chip leader. With 1,281,000 chips in hand, he was able to leverage his advantage to reach the final heads'up despite some difficulties. The duel was very hectic because Loeser attempted to recover but in the end, Bansi triumphed. The next stop of the circuit is the GUKPT Wallsall to be held in May. Note that a series of tournaments in online poker room that offer seats for the Champion of Champions event take place since a few days.
