Derby Poker Championship: Phil Hellmuth invites players to another charity
Despite his behavior a bit extravagant, Phil Hellmuth has a great generosity. Indeed, Phil Hellmuth continues to invest heavily in organizing various charity tournaments to fund charities. Last year, in partnership with Robert Williamson III, Hellmuth organized the tournament Derby Poker Championship, an event that gathered poker players, celebrities and top athletes from the city of Kentucky and recorded a huge success. One again, they decided this year to offer the second edition of the Derby Poker Championship on May 5, 2011. The Palace Theater in Louisville, in Kentucky will be transformed into a giant poker room to host this event. And this year, the profits will be allocated to the association Blessings in a Backpack, which provides food subsidies to residents of the city and the Health and Climate Foundation which is an international organization that conducts public awareness campaigns and training on climate change due to environmental degradation and the consequence of such a disaster on the health of human beings.
The festival Derby Poker Championship 2011 will begin therefore by a parade on red carpet where stars and celebrities who will participate in the tournament will pass. The tournament will begin at around 7:00 pm and the entry fee for the main event will be set at $ 550 with $ 200 rebuys and add-on during the first hour of play. The two organizers who are Hellmuth and Williamson III, a few professional players like Chris Ferguson and Tiffany Michelle, sports celebrities, showbiz stars like Ron White and Jesse Spencer, author Nora Roberts and many personalities of the city will therefore play poker for a good cause at this tournament. Note that last year the winner won a ticket to the world championship of poker in Las Vegas.
