Phil Laak: Official entry in the Guinness Book of Records 2011
Great news for fans of poker in general and the concerned player in particular who is Phil Laak. In fact, the Guinness Book of World Records validated the performance established by Phil "Unabomber" in June of last year. To recall, it was during this period that American poker player held 115 hours without sleep on a poker table. Specifically he started playing on June 2, 2010 at 12:04 a.m and finish the game on June 7, at 7:04 a.m. Thus, he beat the previous world record of the longest poker game of 78 hours which was held by Paul Zimbler. For this incredible achievement, Phil Laak and his record of the man who played as long as possible in a poker game will therefore appeared in the Guinness Book of Records 2011.
Moreover, the longest duration of a poker part played is currently 135 hours and this incredible achievement is signed by a group of Austrian players. They did it not for a financial reason but just to show and for their passion for poker and the will to beat the record held by the American player Phil "Unabomber" Laak. At the beginning of the part of poker, the Austrian group of players has as target to reach 150 hours and make their city Tirol, the capital of poker marathon but finally, they had to abandon a dozen hours ago.
