EPT Copenhagen: The trophy awarded to the Swedish Michael Tureniec
After conquering the title of a side event of the European Poker Tour Barcelona 2010 and the place of runner up of EPT London 2008 as well as other wonderful performances on famous poker tour like a 7th place at the final of the Partouche Poker Tour 2009, the Swedish Michael Tureniec picked up another victory. Indeed, the Swede once again shone at the EPT Copenhagen 2011 and walked up the podium of the poker room of the Casino Copenhagen to receive the trophy and the prize for the champion. A well deserved victory after several days of confrontation in Danish territory.
After the elimination of the Finnish Juha Helppi (8th), the Italian Dalle Molle Andrea (7th) and the Danish Mudassar Khan (6th) of the gaming table, Michael Tureniec did three major victims who are the local player Nikolas Liakos (5th), the American Kevin Lacofano (4th) and British John Eames (3rd). After accumulating a large advantage, he then approached the final duel against his compatriot Per Linde, a player that he removed fairly easily and had to settle for the runner up place and the second prize of 328,612 after the head's up. This beautiful triumph allowed Tureniec to pocket 496,271. His tournament win amounts at present to $ 3,422,518 and with this new conquest, he confirmed his status as a great poker player.
