National Heads Up Poker Championship: A prize pool record of $ 1.8 million on March 4
As usual, and since its inception in 2005, the surprise was not at the rendezvous during the National Heads Up Poker Championship 2010 edition if we talk about the participants. The 64 players selected for the traditional poker heads up championship are all regulars with a few exceptions like Daniel jungleman12 Cates, Tom Marchese and Emmitt Smith who will be there on March 4, 2011 for their first participation. Moreover, some innovations have been introduced in the tournament itself like the buy-in that is around $ 25,000 instead of $ 20,000 as before. Thus, the prize pool rose to $ 1.8 million which is also a record never reached by the competition with a considerable sum of $ 750,000 to award to the winner of the tournament.
