Peter Eastgate: Back on the poker scene
This was before the start of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2010 that the world champion of poker 2008, Peter Eastgate, announced his retreat from the gaming tables, an information that disappointed many of his fans. A few months ago, the great champion sold his precious bracelet to the benefit of the UNICEF. The poker community believed therefore that the young Dane retired permanently from the world of this card game. But the surprise was back whene the name of Peter Eastgate appeared in the list of competitors at the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Indeed, Eastgate announced his imminent return on the green tables.
As explanation of this surprising return, the young champion told that at some point in life, a person needs to be alone a bit. He stated that after two years of success as a poker pro, he just felt lost and tired about the kind of life he led. By attending various poker tournaments, he forgot the important things in his life. Currently, the young champion seems to have found his way calmly and announced his desire to resume his place in this environment. Eastgate fans may therefore find him again on the tables of various major poker tour including all stages of the European Poker Tour (EPT). To begin, he will be at the EPT Copenhagen in March before appearing in big TV show like the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship.
